LIZADIE TASTE

Contemporary photographer Lizadie Taste develops an artistic practice at the intersection of light, colour, territory and environment.

She holds a degree in Aesthetic Philosophy from Paris Nanterre University and studied at the Institut International de l’Image et du Son (IIIS). After working as a screenwriter for fiction and creative documentary, she turned to photography as a space for personal expression.

Through series developed from often constrained protocols — fixed viewpoints, extended observation and close attention to natural variations — she explores the transformations of a single territory over time. Her images exist at the boundary between reality and abstraction, where landscape becomes both a perceptual and mental space.

Her work investigates the effects of light, climatic dynamics and the interactions between nature and human intervention, combining a sensitive approach with formal rigour.

I

n a world saturated with images, Lizadie Taste favours a restrained visual language, free from artifice and attentive to the often imperceptible phenomena that transform the way we see.

Light reveals as much as it transforms our perception of the world.
